A note from the presenters of Book by Book
Paul Blackham
Jesus is everything to the Church. He is the beginning and the
end of the universe. He is the image of the invisible God. The
Bible is God's perfect revelation of the truth about Jesus the
Christ. This is why the Bible is the lifeblood of the Christian. We
cannot live without the joy of meeting Jesus in all the
Scriptures.
Around the world there is a new hunger for the Bible. Individual
Christians, small groups and whole churches want to rediscover the
Scriptures. Book by Book is a resource designed to open up the
whole of the Bible for today. Each book of the Bible is covered
with a series of 15-minute programmes together with an easy-to-use
study guide. We have gathered together some of the best Bible
teachers in the world, from every continent, so that the Bible's
teaching can be reflected through the many different cultures of
the world.
We are committed to covering the whole Bible, not just our
'favourite bits'. So often we have found amazing treasures in the
parts of the Bible that rarely get studied today. Whether
explaining the tabernacle in the book of Exodus or reading
Timothy's mail from the apostle Paul or unravelling ancient Persian
politics with Esther or getting pushed into genuine loving action
with James or getting back to the beginning of everything in
Genesis, Book by Book is designed to be a faithful and enjoyable
guide through the entire library of the Bible.

In many parts of the world today the Bible is winning! This is
not because of any schemes sponsored by governments or even by
Councils of the Church. It is only because a significant number of
Christian people are determined enough to open and study their
Bibles together, that the hunger for God is intensifying once again
in country after country.
